JCP Portraits

Yesterday we picked up our portraits from Jacque Penne. We had an exact time we had to be there- 5:05. I wondered why cause we already payed and everything. It ended up being because they printed 3 extra sheets that they claimed I could have for the very low price of $17.99. I was SO tempted. One was a calendar sheet. But that would defeat my coupon of sheets for $3.99. We got 11 sheets for around $45. Two other people checked out while we were there and were both almost $200. They got them!
The boys slept again from 11:30-5 am. I am gonna get used to that! Ean woke up fussing at 1:30. Not to eat just his mad cry. I don't think he feels well again. His nose was clogged. I think Chris gave it back to them. He kissed all over them when he was sick.
Today I have to take the boys out by myself. What a fiasco. But I will get used to it.

Why are weekends so short?

Church and Sunday school went well yesterday. We had a really good time and plan on really getting involved. The boys ate right before we left and made it through all of Sunday school and most of the service. The service was supposed to be from 10:55- 12:00 but we left at 12:15 and he was still in the middle of the sermon. I think it was because there was a 10 minute or so bell song (?) which was really neat and performed with all bells, but it went on FOREVER!
Anyway, we will be going back on Sunday and our class will be decorating the tree for Christmas in the church on next Thursday night. The church is really big and has a lot of parishoners (is that the right word?) But the Sunday school classes make it smaller.
The boys seem to be doing better with their colds. No fevers and less coughing. And they are only really stuffy starting in the early morning hours until 11 am or so.
We took the boys for a nice walk in the park yesterday. The weather was beautiful. It may have been to much exercise for me at once. (I insisted on pushing the stroller)
A young woman at the church had a really odd conversation with us around the donuts. It went like this-
LADY:Oh, are they two boys? They are SO cute!
CHRIS: YES.
LADY: Are they identical? (she never says the word twins)
CHRIS: NO, They are fraternal.
LADY: (funny look on face) Then how far apart are they?
CHRIS: (funny look on his face) 1 minute.
LADY: (looks perplexed) (nervous laugh) ohhh. Well, they are precious....
We then run away out of complete confusion.

Our new answer to "Are they twins?" Is now going to be... "No, one is mine and one is hers." (Chris always answers) and then I say, (pointing to misc. baby) "I hope his mother doesn't come back cause I am pretty attached."
We have gone on to extend this running fake story to include that we met in childbirth classes. In times of sleep deprivation, you have some great conversations. WE think we are funny.
Chris also had a guy at work tell him he knew exactly how he felt with twins because he had kids 10 months apart. Are you kidding me? Thanks for the feelings of comradery and the support, but I don't think so!

Name this baby!

Don't I Know You?

The boys recheck on their colds went fine. The fluid that had been in Ean's ear was cleared up. Quinn is still running a low grade fever but they said to expect that for a couple of days and watch it. We got 2 cans of Enfamil- that was worth the entire trip! They were miserable again last night and I was extra tired and irritable. It was probably from taking them to the Dr by myself. It was my first time out alone- I had to figure out the double stroller and carrying the infant car seat carriers.
Last night at Target, a woman came up to us and asked about the twins. She said she had 10 week old twins, Boy/Girl. We chatted- she said that longer sleeping was on the way for us and to hold on! When she walked away, Chris looked at me and I asked him where we knew her from. She was very familiar. She ended up being a woman from McFarlin Methodist Church in Norman. We went back over to her and chatted more.
We decided to go back to McFarlin- we liked it. It was just a huge church and a little overwhelming for us. We also found out the Bible study we were in now has 25 couples. A lot more than the 4 or 5 when we were there. I couldn't believe it had been 3 years! We are going tomorrow.

Sick

Yesterday we took Ean to the Dr. because he had a temp. of 99.3 and was coughing and sneezing. He goes back tomorrow to recheck his ears which looked red to the Dr. Today, Quinn and I woke up sick. I am sneezing and have a sore throat (my personal first sign of a cold) and Quinn has all his brother's symptoms. Oh well. On a side note, I have not been sick since Feb. of last year! That is a long time for me. Must have been the pregnancy.

First Photo Shoot!

The boys went to get their pics taken for the first time on Monday. They came out so good. I just wanted to have them done to have newborn photos. I didn't know they would be awake and look so cute!
